Loved your stories Bob. I silently read them. I have no clarification questions. Nothing to add that is missing. And I can definitely live with them so I’ll shut up now ;)
Very heart-affirming story again, Bob. My son-in-law is also a journeyman plumber and I can proudly say he's got Dave's attributes. I'm sending this to him.
I'm starting to anxiously await your stories, Bob, so please keep them coming. And have a wonderful Christmas season.
thanks Bill...I hope your son in law enjoys the story...I will keep them coming, the January story is about a friend turning 100 who changed the course of how we treat history in western Canada.
Couldn’t agree more. Out of my “gang”, I am the only one that went on to post secondary education. We grew up in a farming community and trades were much more respected then. All of them were working before I knew what program to sign up for. All of them were journeymen and making good money by the time I graduated, with significant student loans to pay. All are now retired or nearing it and have spent their lifetimes building, fixing and running their own businesses. I’m unsure who is going to do that for us in this uncertain future. Robots? AI? Definitely will not be the same.
Always good to read your stories, Bob.
